Egg Nog was primarily recorded in the fall of 2002, however, I recorded another set of Christmas songs the following year and folded the better ones into Egg Nog to make one CD. Egg Nog encompasses many of my own subjective impressions of the holiday season. It is a mix of both traditional and original compositions. Where I have elected to cover a traditional song, I have attempted to interpret it in a novel way. The disc was essentially recorded in my bedroom (The Shady Tree at that time) while I was living in Toronto and if you listen closely on some of the tracks you can hear the streetcars passing by. Available Tensions is a different kind of work. It is essentially music for myself. There is no thought towards audience in the creative process. At its’ essence, this music is self-indulgent. That being said, the music is deeply meaningful to me and resonates from the core of my being. Fashion Barriers is a growing collection of more subdued acoustic songs. Many of the songs intended for this project will be recorded directly off the floor with just myself accompanied by an acoustic guitar.
